An organization says what a team is, and where its teams are

Wards, crews and departments are now real structure inside the schedule, each with its own rota and the person who runs it.

An organization used to be one flat list of people and one week. That holds until roughly the second department, at which point everybody is reading a rota that is nine-tenths not about them, and the only person who can edit any of it is an admin.

Teams are inside the schedule now — wards, crews, departments, whatever you call them — each with its own rota. A team can be handed to whoever actually runs it: they get schedule edits for their team and nothing else, no money, no publishing, no admin. The Team plan runs one team; Organization and up run as many as you have.

This is the shape public-interest work already has, and the reason the schedule is built around shifts rather than meetings. Coverage is who is on, not who is meeting whom, and a rota that makes you describe it as a stack of calendar invites is a rota you will keep on a spreadsheet instead.
